2. Mechanism of action of Osimertinib
Osimertinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). It is an irreversible inhibitor of the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) with sensitive mutations (EGFRm) and the T790M mutation that is resistant to TKIs. The drug therefore inhibits the proliferation, growth, and metastasis ofcancer cellsand help respond to chemotherapy,radiotherapy. 3. What diseases does the drug treat?
Tagrisso contains the active ingredient osimertinib, which belongs to the protein kinase inhibitor group of anticancer drugs. Therefore, the drug is used to treat adult patients with non-small cell lung cancer. The drug is used when:

The patient's cancer progressed or worsened despite previous treatment, which may include drugs that work by inhibiting “EGFR” (epidermal growth factor receptor).

4. How should I take the medicine and what is the dosage?
As for dosage, the recommended dose is one 80mg tablet per day. Your doctor may reduce the dose to one 40mg tablet per day if needed.
Directions for use: Patients should swallow the tablet whole with a little water. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet. Take Tagrisso at the same time each day. The medicine can be taken with or without food. In case the patient has difficulty swallowing the tablet whole, the medicine can be dissolved in water by:
Put the tablet in a glass, add 50ml (about 2/3 glass of water), do not use any other liquid, especially carbonated water. This medicine will not dissolve completely, so you just need to stir until the tablet is broken into very small pieces. Drink this solution immediately after dissolving.
